The Napo Wildlife Center is one of the most beautiful eco-lodges in the Ecuadorian Rainforest. This eco-lodge is a true ecotourism project managed by the local Añangu Quichua community that conserves approximately 52,000 acres of the most pristine Amazonian Rainforest within the Yasunì National Park, considered one of the hot spots of biodiversity in the world.

The NWC is located in the northern Ecuadorian Amazon region (250 meters or 820 ft above sea level). To get there we will fly for 30 minutes from Quito to Coca and from here we take a motorized canoe and travel 82 kilometers (51 miles) along the river.

This rainforest ecolodge has 10 cottages that are built in keeping with traditional native architecture using long-lasting materials to avoid deforestation. It offers a library, a bar that provides ice-cold drinks, and a restaurant with carefully prepared meals. A reverse osmosis water filtration system is used in the kitchen.

The NWC has invested in the best environmentally sustainable sewage system, all wastewater is treated to the highest standards in order to keep the swamps clean of human activity. Also, they use solar panels for electricity.
